#362.
Our beautiful church, Old South Church in Boston. We can’t wait to profess our love for one another and make a commitment to each other in the sight of God, our congregation, our family, and our friends. Over the last year, it has been amazing to grow into and learn about and connect with our faith. We wouldn’t have been do this alone, so I thank God for send me Jess to share this journey with. Amen!

I’m not so great at keeping up with this, huh? I noticed that we got a bunch of new followers this week so I felt compelled to post, but it turns out that everyone who added us had been hacked. What does that say about our blog? Humph.
Anywho, lots of things in the works. There is likely going to be a change of venue for the reception (which I will explain further in another post, but it’s good news, not bad!), we’ve been doing lots of thinking about invitations (with the help of our dear friend Chris), and we found a hymn while at church that we love which would be perfect for the ceremony!
I’ve been getting overwhelmed pretty easily through the whole process so far, but I found a book that I’m ordering through Amazon which I hope will help. It’s called “Inviting God to Your Wedding: and Keeping God in Your Marriage” and it was written by Martha Williamson. This part of the description struck me because it’s a feeling I’m definitely struggling with myself:
“In the months before our wedding, I searched the shelves of my favorite bookstores for a wedding book that I never found: A book that would celebrate my joy and acknowledge my fears. A book that would be a silent friend that wouldn’t overwhelm me with week-by-week checklists and endless pictures of table settings… . I knew that before I began organizing the most important event of my life, I needed to organize my heart.”

I’m really pumped for it to arrive!
